"Why should I continue to market my business during Covid-19?"

We just wanted to address the idea of marketing your brand during these times, as it is something we as an agency have had to adapt to.

⠀⠀

Firstly, it's important to ensure that your business is not using the pandemic as a way of monetisation. This could mean a number of things, but its important to tread carefully as we've seen some businesses approach this incorrectly and as a result their customers have turned against them.⠀

⠀⠀

That doesn't mean however that you can't benefit in other ways... Actually, there's never been a more important time for businesses to be marketing than now. It's an opportunity to get ahead of the curve and stay front of mind. CPM's (cost per 1000 impressions) keep dropping and its becoming easier to reach far more people, at a far cheaper price. ⠀⠀

⠀⠀

Far less businesses are advertising on Facebook, which is bringing the cost to advertise down. Not only this, but engagement levels on social media during a lockdown are skyrocketing. Add these two elements together and it's the perfect combination for driving a successful brand awareness campaign.⠀⠀

It doesn't have to all be paid advertising! This is a great opportunity to re-evaluate your content strategy and offer your audience valuable content. We have tried to lead by example here and have used the time to start a new podcast to help business owners with their marketing.⠀

⠀⠀

Again, use this exposure in the right ways. Be sensitive to the situation. An example... With one of our dealership clients, we are running engagement adverts, giving people motoring tips and advice during these times. This could be tips on keeping your car free from bacteria, or even just advice on when you are allowed to drive during a lockdown. This kind of information is not only current, but extremely helpful.
